Experiments with film. Roll 16.

A while back I bought a Kodak Retina Automatic III on Ebay, and it is my only rangefinder camera. It has been sitting unused in a box since I’ve been playing with the SLRs and I didn’t know if the light meter worked, or even if the camera worked at all. The shutter sounded very strange, and had a sort of delay to it.

Yesterday I bit the bullet, loaded it with Fuji C200, pushed to 800, and went on a shooting spree in the dimly lit apartment.

Self portrait. Fuji C200 pushed to 800 in Maco Ecoprint 1+50 for 36 minutes at 20C. 1/30s and the camera selected f6 for the situation, which seems reasonable.

I think the photos came out all right, given the circumstances. When spring comes I’ll load it up again and take it outside on a photowalk.

Doggie.
