Rangefinder problems on my Moskva 5

I have an old USSR folding rangefinder camera, the Moskva 5, it is a nice camera if a bit on the heavy side.

Fists in the sky. Shanghai GP3 in HC-110 1+50 for 12 min at 20C.

It is capable of producing very nice results, as can be seen above. But the rangefinder is misaligned, which causes problems with the focusing as can be seen below.

On short distances focus falls 20 or 30 cm behind the intended depth. I found instructions on how to adjust the camera and did it this morning, but I haven’t taken any picture with it yet to verify that it is spot on, but the distance scale on the lens and the rangefinder agree now at least.
