Katen planned on giving the junior assistant a bath. So if a bath was coming anyway, we could just as well make sure that one was needed.

I have attached the shutter from a medium format folding camera to the €25 camera, so I should probably rename it to €50 camera. The picture above was taken with the lens wide open, f10, and the junior assistant somehow managed to be still for the entire half second exposure. The flaws of the lens become apparent when shot with such a large aperture.
I still haven’t got the process down. There’s a lighter field in the image by the left bridge post. The effect is not overbearing in this shot, but there were others from the same batch that were ruined. I’ll have to conduct some experiments to pinpoint what’s causing these problems.
