Roll 289. Returning to the Pentax ME.

I’ve been shooting lots of medium and large format the last couple of months and thought I’d shoot some 135 film again. So I defrosted some Rollei RPX 400 film and put the big 70-210mm f3.5 on my Pentax ME.

Stick. Rollei RPX 400 in HC-110 1+30 for 6min at 20C.

Stick. Rollei RPX 400 in HC-110 1+30 for 6min at 20C.

The camera body is small and light, but with the lens it gets a bit front heavy and I find it hard to hold steady. At least without the shoulder stock.

Spring. Rollei RPX400 in HC-110 1+30 for 6min at 20C.

With the shoulder stock I gain about two stops of stability, it is like anti vibration tech of the 70’s.

More spring. Rollei RPX400 in HC-110 1+30 for 6min at 20C.

I didn’t have much use of the stock, shooting the dog and splashing water at 1/500 and 1/1000 speeds I should be able to hand hold the camera without problems.
